Cinematic Dance: Rules and Instructions

 

Solo:

Time Limit: 3 to 5 minutes

Instructions: Participants may choose any film-based music in any language. It is a solo item and should be performed by only one individual. Each contestant can perform only one dance under their category.

Judging Criteria: The performance will be judged based on Choreography - steps, transitions, originality, movement techniques, fluidity, music quality, interpretation of music (40 points). Finesse - expression, grace, energy and completeness of the steps (30 points), Costume (10 points). Adherence to Time (10 points). Overall Presentation (10 points).

 

Duet:

Time Limit: 3 to 5 minutes

Instructions: Participants may choose any film-based music in any language. It is a duet item and should be performed by two individuals. Each contestant can perform only one dance under their category.

Judging Criteria: The performance will be judged based on Choreography - rhythm and steps, transition, variety in formations, difficulty and originality (40 points). Execution - coordination and synchronization, enthusiasm conveyed, facial expressions, interpretation of music, uniformity and timing (30 points). Costume (10 points). Adherence to Time (10 points). Overall impression (10 points).
