Cinematic Dance: Rules and Instructions

 

Solo:

Time Limit: 3 to 5 minutes

Instructions: Participants may choose any film-based music in any language. It is a solo item and should be performed by only one individual. Each contestant can perform only one dance under their category.Please provide the song and movie name in the description box when submitting the entry.

Judging Criteria: The performance will be judged based on Choreography - steps, transitions, originality, movement techniques, fluidity, music quality, interpretation of music (40 points). Finesse - expression, grace, energy and completeness of the steps (30 points), Costume (10 points). Adherence to Time (10 points). Overall Presentation (10 points).

 

Duet:

Time Limit: 3 to 5 minutes

Instructions: Participants may choose any film-based music in any language. It is a duet item and should be performed by two individuals. Both contestant can perform only one dance under their category. Please provide the song and movie name in the description box when submitting the entry.

Judging Criteria: The performance will be judged based on Choreography - rhythm and steps, transition, variety in formations, difficulty and originality (40 points). Execution - coordination and synchronization, enthusiasm conveyed, facial expressions, interpretation of music, uniformity and timing (30 points). Costume (10 points). Adherence to Time (10 points). Overall impression (10 points).
