KCS Youth Adopt- a-road-Road Cleaning-June 25, 2011 |

Shilpa Raj
KCSMW Youth President
|
The Adopt-a-Road program was a great experience for all the youth members, and everyone had a lot of fun. We spent about an hour and a half cleaning and picking up any litter on the sides of the road. It was a good opportunity to perform community service and do something positive. People who drove by us showed their appreciation by shouting out a "Great job!" or just smiling and waving. Everyone enjoyed being able to help make our environment cleaner and being able to spend time with each other. From water bottles and cans to sippy cups, we worked together to clean up our adopted road.
