Our Activities

Kerala Cultural Society is committed to provide quality services and programs to the Washington Metro Malayali community and we have an array of activities being planned for the year 2010.

Volunteering at DC Central Kitchen

As in the past, thirty-four KCSMW members, volunteered in the DC Central kitchen from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm and prepared one day’s food for the homeless people in the Washington metro area.  The menu consisted of Tortilla, Rajma, Garden salad, Penne Pasta and Pasta.  We express our heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to all the volunteers who have contributed to this noble cause.

KCS Kalari

In order to create and promote the awareness of our rich culture and heritage in our younger generation, KCSMW is proud to offer a cultural awareness session in addition to Malayalam classes. In the past years we received overwhelming response for the Malayalam and Cultural Awareness Program. This year, in order to accommodate the large number of participants, we are conducting classes at multiple locations. To register for these classes or get further details, please send an email to education@kcsmw.org or call on any of the numbers listed below.  Classes are going on in full swing in on the three locations since January and lasses are held biweekly at the following locations:
