![]() Kerala Cultural Society is committed to provide quality
services and programs to the Washington Metro Malayali community and we have
an array of activities being planned for the year 2010. Volunteering at DC
Central Kitchen As in the past, thirty-four KCSMW members, volunteered in the DC Central kitchen from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm and prepared one day’s food for the homeless people in the Washington metro area. The menu consisted of Tortilla, Rajma, Garden salad, Penne Pasta and Pasta. We express our heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to all the volunteers who have contributed to this noble cause. KCS
Kalari In
order to create and promote the awareness of our rich culture and heritage
in our younger generation, KCSMW is proud to offer a cultural awareness
session in addition to Malayalam classes. In the past years we received
overwhelming response for the Malayalam and Cultural Awareness Program. This
year, in order to accommodate the large number of participants, we are
conducting classes at multiple locations. To register for these classes or

Dreams 2010 on May 8, 2010
We cordially invite you to Summer Dreams 2010 to
celebrate Mothers Day with KCS where Seematti of Kerala (one of the most
preferred large format life style stores on India- CNBC Awaaz survey 2007
and Guinness Book of World Records Award Recipient for world’s Largest
Silk sari measuring ½ Km) launching the latest series of their silk sarees
through a spectacular fashion show Youth Forum KCS
youth organized Bowling Bonanza on February 21 at New Brunswick Bowling
Alley in Columbia, Maryland. It
was a fun day for our youth to meet and greet and have fun through bowling
and partying. A variety of
other youth activities are being planned year round by our youth that
include Youth Day, Theme Park Day, Ocean Day, Dance Day, and Food, Blood,
and Clothe Drives. Adopt-a-Road
program KCS Charity KCS always think of our less fortunate brothers
and sisters and provide financial aid to various institutions in Kerala
without discriminating on cast or religious affiliations. KCS distributes 100% of the charity money to the needy.
KCS would double or triple its charity fund raising during 2010 by
the support of our youth, Vanitha Vedhi and Men’s Club. If you are
interested to be a part of this noble cause please contact us.
